I’m back with a new edition of favorites of the week! Here are my favorite articles and links that from this week.
The Wealthy Stealthy Teenager – This article is a great short story in which the author tells about his friend from high school who quietly accumulated wealth through high school and beyond while others mostly wasted their time. A great read! I wish I wasn’t so naive and ignorant in high school.
Goodwill Date Night – This one is hilarious and awesome! This couple went to Goodwill with $10 each and picked out funny outfits for each other to wear on their date night. Then they also picked fake names to go by all evening.
Food & Drink
Tour De Cincinnati – Whether you’re from Cincinnati or just visiting this blog puts a spotlight on current happenings in the city as well as some of the best food and drinks around town. If you’re looking for something to do this weekend check out Tour De Cincinnati for ideas.
Easy Pumpkin Muffins – Here’s a recipe for some easy pumpkin muffins. I saved this one for myself because I have a 2 year old daughter who enjoys eating muffins. These pumpkin muffins will make a nutritious and delicious snack or breakfast for any kid.
Health & Fitness
The Definitive Guide To Children’s Nutrition – If you’re a parent like me you always want the best for your child and keeping those little buggers happy and healthy can be a daunting task that you’re constantly worried about. This nutrition guide can be a good reference when trying to decide on something to nutritious to feed your child. There are also a few tips at the end of the article for getting your child to eat the more nutritious foods that you offer.
I’m An Ex-Bodybuilder: Here’s Why I Think Food Is More Important Than Exercise – “You cannot exercise your way out of a bad diet, but you can always eat your way to a fitter and healthier body.”
Two Dozen Table Saw Safety Tips – The table saw is one of the most powerful and versatile tools in any woodworking shop. As such the table saw commands respect and focus when using it. You can never be too safe when operating a table saw.
Youtube vs Books – How should a beginner woodworker get started learning the craft of woodworking? I think youtube videos are an amazing learning resource for woodworking especially for visual learners such as myself. However, books usually go into greater detail and contain useful information that simply isn’t and can’t be covered in a short youtube tutorial.
